Rap up from yesterday
(9:25pm)
Channel your energy into positive actions, Dex says to me.
I stick my hands in my pocket and face Dex. What if I don't feel positive?
Doing something positive will help turn your mood around. When you smile, your body relaxes. When you experience positive human touch and interaction, it eases tention in your body.

Those words are from Return to Paradise. That actually made me feel as if I was Caleb. Some times I just don't feel positive, so it reflects in everything I say and do, like Caleb. He also has little to no trust for anyone, like I do. I can imagine we both don't smile much, both barily laugh, both are irascible, and both of us tend to put on a front about our true feelings and emotions. Wow, it's almost as if that is me in the book.

(7:20am)
I would be at school by now, but my lazy sisters wanted to get a ride from my father. My father never drops us off before 7:35. He occasionally drops us off at 7:38-7:39ish. It annoys the mess out of me. My idea of being on time is being, at the least 10, minutes early. Everyone else in my family, so long as we get to school before the bell rings, we're alright.

(7:54pm)
We learned some insightful things today in english, mostly how to write college essays. There were 9 steps to writing good college essays, but the sheet got collected, so I can't remember them all. I REALLY hope that when my schedule is changed I still have Mr. Taylor B2. Arianna really is my best friend.

(9:01pm)
I found my old black book.

I used to write all sorts of crazy things in here. One was when I wrote about the Joker.

I also have an Obama sticker in the beginning.

Arianna and Yemi Olabimiji are probably the only students who've read more than just a page from it and my other one. I even dedicated the last page to them, mostly because they already ripped it to get a boy's number.

I have another book, but I almost never write in it now because of the blackberry. I still find it therapeutic to write in it. Its also a good way to remember things. To think, it all started as a class assignment.

  1. ... it all started with a class assignment? Was that AVID?!? :) Thank you for making this a joy to read - the font, the word choice, the content. I want to take a look at this book you've mentioned - the one with a character named Caleb. I like how you posted the times - it helped me follow your "rap up". Can't wait to read the next post :)

  2. You know Caleb, you aren't the only one with a book like that. I have 3 of them, and you know where they are? Still here at my house on my bookshelf. Those journals are part of you...I wouldn't let anyone read mine for any amount of money, but I won't throw them out either.
