(8:35pm)
Had to go wrap gifts for my church today. I invited a friend, but she couldn't make it. I had a lot of fun doing it. It was for our heart to hands ministry at our church. We adopted about 10 families to give presents to. There were only a couple of items we had difficulty wrapping, but other than that, we did well.
Let me tell you about my gift wrapping skills: I have none. Neither did the dude I was with. We got a lesson from one of the parents, but we still kinda stunk at it. One of the youth girls came in and helped us. She’s good. She was able to boost our table’s production by at least 5%. We got so much done with her, but I forgot her name. We only had about 5-8 complications with the gift wrapping including not enough gift boxes (for clothing items), not big enough boxes, irregularly shaped presents (Bratz doll, soccer ball, etc.), and confusion of the names of the recipients. Other than that, we did well. We brought along our little sister, Jessica. She really could be a part of our family. Nothing else really, just had pizza, went around to see who would chug the garlic sauce for $5 (everyone would, but I didn’t have $5), and looked at pictures of my niece and nephew.
