Mother Nature and House Arrest

Sorry that the quality sucks. Tuesdays are usually my day off, but it's never fun. So, here is my day.

This Darn inflation!!!!

So today I bought a cheese danish from the vending machine. I used my card, so I just assumed that it was just a dollar still. Little did I know that the price had risen up 25 cents. I was like "NO! Why?!?!" I'll keep it at that, because I was pissed. I have a sweet tooth. A DEEP sweet tooth!!! Oh well, looks like I'll have to stop :(

Another note, two of my fellow AVID 2012 scholars started up on blog posts again. THAT'S SO COOL!!! Now I know what they're up to...besides Facebook and Twitter.

So far in college, I’ve written one paper in English, had two quizzes and a test in Math, and several small assignments in Computer and Academic Developement (ACDV), but no grades have been posted. Honestly, I want to know my Math grade. I’ve been doing well in my other classes, but math is a struggle. I literally fell asleep in class, and y’all know the only way I sleep is eyes open.

I’ve made friends. About half of them I already knew, the others are new. One of the girls asked of I had a girlfriend, but she already had a boyfriend. Does that make me a player? Nope. I don’t think. One of my longest high school crushes goes to CCBC with me, but I think I’m almost over her. Plus, she’s given me the “just friends” speech 10 times, or close to it. One of my other friends told me that I had a girl “type”. I asked her what she meant, and she told me that my type was African because I had an attraction to six or so Africans in high school. I told her that Facebook said that it was Asian, and she said that she couldn’t see me with an Asian. To be honest, there’s only one Asian I’ve even liked in my whole high school career. Really, maybe it’s because I’m from Oklahoma, I could settle for a hispanic girl.

 

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this yet, but I no longer have jury duty. I called the office and told them I was a full student and they told me to fax my information. After that I was excused, but chances are once I’m out of school, they will come after me again.

 

I found this really awesome and hard game on the internet about the Hunger Games. It has to do with Katniss and the bloodbath. It is SOOOOO hard. I shared it with some of the celebs from the Hunger Games movie (Amandla Stenberg, Isabelle Furman, Alexander Ludwig, etc.). I hope one of them replies back. Isabelle Furman has replied to a tweet of mine before, which is cool to think about.

One thing before I leave, Batman is AWESOME!!! I mean, how many other heroes without powers can go out and beat up everyone, from Bane to Mr. Freeze, and still make it home in time for a date with some of the most beautiful women in Gothem City?

 

September 30, 2012- Jury Duty

So, my week was good, but then I get something in the mail that crushes it: Jury Duty. Make matters worse, they sent me two letters in the mail. WHY TWO!!! WHY!!!! Hopefully being a full time student can get me out. I’m not comfortable doing jury duty.

Okay off of jury duty. There’s a girl I met in Christian fellowship on CCBC that I friended on Facebook. She apparently had a really bad day. A REALLY bad day. I shared my poem Broken, but Beautiful with her, but I don’t think she read it. Doesn’t matter I guess, she still felt better. In person, she seemed so spiritual and calm; but on that Facebook post, she scared me a bit.

Thursday, I’m going on a date!!! Naw, just kidding. I’m meeting a girl named Jasmine in the CCBC cafeteria to hang with a bunch of friends. We’re just friends. Just FRIENDS. Haha kill myself sometimes. No one in my family seems to get that it’s NOT a date. I mean 1) I’m not paying for her food (I don’t think we’re eating lunch. We can if she wants), 2) we’re not alone (unless we decide to walk the campus), and 3) WE’RE JUST FRIENDS!!! Plus we’re also former robotics teammates just catching up with eachother.

Nearing midnight, need sleep, so good night. -_-

So yesterday, I had a meeting with a couple of guys on campus about this discipleship program they're doing, but I didn't go. Not because I just ignored it, but forgot to. You see, I was doing homework at 10:30, my meeting being at 1pm, and I decided that I had plenty of time to watch a movie. I went to Youtube, watched Batman Arkham Asylum, and then Starwars Force Unleashed. by the time I was done, it was 2:30. I was like "Crap, I missed it. I should apologize later."

I was also supposed to meet a girl in the café, but she couldn't make it. To clear things up, it wasn't a date.

Before I left school I remembered that I still hadn't submitted a homework assignment, so I rushed back into the café,and sent it. It wasn't until I got home that I realized it was left. Today I found it on the counter where I had left it. Thank goodness no one stole it (it was password encrypted anyway ☺).

Sidenote, not always can do videos. I can on Tuesdays mostly.

I just realized that the one genre of music I actually love listening to most is rock. That’s probably followed by country. I’m listening to Na Na Na by My Chemical Romance (thanks Kim ;)).

Anyways, I’m on a plane to California. I’m thinking about how Jaelen is so stingy and ungrateful for not letting me borrow one of her ipod touches. She has TWO!!! I FIXED ONE!!! WHAT COULD YOU POSSIBLY NEED TWO FOR!!! I’m just gonna lock it back. Rule #1: NEVER mess with a technopath. He will shut your mess down where you can’t do #@*€ with it (pardon me☺).

Okay, it is early here, but Maryland has been out of school for six hours. What have I been doing? Not relaxing. For the past 8 hours, I have been moving the robot around fixing various parts, getting it inspected, fixing some more parts of the robot (while some of my teammates kinda doubted I was fixing anything), reinspection, room settlement and resettlement, and listening to incessant nagging from one of the teams we work with. We are all cranky, tired, and jet lagged, not to mention hungry.

Jet lag is a trip.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, California is 3 hours behind Maryland. We passed our inspection on second try, Owings Mills is still working. Just noticed that New Town gets along with eachother better. Maybe it’s because we’re all seniors, we’ve grown together, and we all know how to work with others.

Got an email back from Ms. Meidlar about a letter I wrote over spring break for her class. They were so excited to hear from me, especially a part about funnel cakes. I SOOOO hope to get a reply back from them, maybe soon.
