October 4, 2011

October 4, 2011

(3:43pm)
I am watching Deadliest warriors. It's a special one: Vampires versus Zombies. I wanted to see vampires vs werewolves, but that probably won't ever happen. If it did, I'm neutral. My vote is split on this one, too. They're giving zombies more numbers to make it even. Shautria, do vampires really have claws? They just gave zombies a ratio of 63:1. Poor vampires.

(3:57pm)
Zombies bite down with a 255 pound force. They used a rottweiler to test a zombie bite. Right now, they're testing the effectiveness of the bite against a vampire. This is soooo cool. Oh, and the technology they use to simulate the battles is designed by an ex-military game similation person. He's designed over 50 (I think) games including both of the Deadliest Warriors games. Another thing I've learned, vampires were adapted from the styles of Vlad the Impailer.

(4:10pm)
Still not sure who to side with. I could support my supposed twin, Wesley Snipes, and go with vampires (he plays Blade, who is half vampire), or I could side with Michael Jackson and go with zombies. Although, I did forget about that one girl from My Baby-Sitter is a Vampire. She is so cute.

(4:15pm)
In this special, vampires have all sharp teeth instead of just 2 sharps. They used an alligator. They got 1,723 pounds of force.

(4:21pm)
Team Vampire, I'm siding with you. Sorry Michael, but atleast y'all could win in a dance competition.

(4:42pm)
Vampires won, but they are still suceptable to the zombie virus.

(7:15am)
I found my other head phones I got for Christmas last year. Thank goodness, because I thought I lost them.

(8:24am)
Um....anyone else think Walt Disney was racist? The first Disney princess was Snow White.

(9:32pm)
We had more people in robotics club today. Well, Lizzie, Iyin, and another girl whose name starts with an “M”. We need some more dudes. As for dudes, it's just me and Mr. Needel, the robotics “person” (not sure what to call him). There were 5 of us. We started on building our protobot. So far, so good. We just need to learn how to read picture diagrams and how to use the basic tools, but other than that, we're good.

(10:42pm)
I forgot, we're not in last place anymore, Themis is. But no slacking off, we still have lots of work to do.

(10:45pm)
Also, it's Breast Cancer month. I don't know of anyone impacted by it, but it's still important.

October 2, 2011

Wrap up from yesterday
(10:54pm)
Why do parents seem to always think that just because their kids are young, living in their house, and don't have to worry about bills or meals, that that means that we shouldn't have any stress? That is so irritating. My parents look at me crazy. Yeah, I know that stress gets worse in college and in everything after that, but it's better to learn to deal with today's stress today than to pile it on top of tomorrow's stress everyday. I mean, if I can't deal with the “small” stress now, how the heck am I going to deal with anything in college.....or marriage....or prom.

October 2, 2011
(4:17pm)
Lisa Raye's daughter is so beautiful. She's fine just like her mama.

(4:52pm)
Laila Ali's voice is deeper than I expected. Her face is beautiful, just the voice surprised me. I like it though.

(11:05pm)
At church, I found this picture on our bulletin board:

It's of our youth bowling trip not long ago, some time in August. The girl is Rachel Horne. She's came to about 2 of our outings. She's something.

I found a bunch of other pictures on my computer at home, too. Like this one:

That's baby me and my sister Jacquynn. Yeah, I know. 16 years later and I'm still good looking. Kidding, half. I also found two songs: Are You Listening by Kirk Franklin and I Gotta Believe by Yolanda Adams. I don't even remember downloading them.

(11:38pm)
It's really hard coming up with a title everyday for my posts. I can never think of any. I might just label some and leave some blank.

October 1, 2011- Choices

October 1, 2011
(2:06pm)
I'm sitting in my youth group meeting and, besides one youth instructor, I'm the only guy here with 5 girls and 1 woman. It's torture.

(2:12pm)
Maya and Tyla just came in. Terrific (if you can catch my sarcasm)

(8:13pm)
I still haven't updated my blogs. Hope Carney isn't mad. I also hope I didn't fail the AP Bio test. I studied for that test. If I did, I hope I can take it over again.

(8:30pm)
I forgot to mention what happened at the youth meeting. We had an ice-breaker where we had to go into another room and grab an item. We came back and presented what we brought. The Bible meant you were a preacher, measuring tape meant construction worker, shows meant you were an entertainer, rolling pin meant chef, first aid kit meant doctor, and arm brace meant that you were disabled. We had to decide what people we would choose to stay in a bomb shelter if there was a war based on what item we chose. There were 4 people on each team, there was only room for three people. Unfortunately, I had the arm-brace, so it was a choice between me and the entertainer (Maya).

We talked about making choices. We started off by writting down any bad choices we made in life. I had a bunch. I'm pretty sure I wrote more than anyone else did.

(9:18pm)
Proof I haven't grown much:

This is my band shirt from 7th and 8th grade. I'm a senior in high school and it fits almost the same. I might wear it to school one day to bring back memories.

September 30, 2011- Complete chaos

September 30, 2011
(11:53am)
Doña’s not here. We're thinking about doing the socratic seminar next class. We just got done discussing our agenda for the house meetings. I'm thinking about going back and adding titles to my posts to make it pop some more. I gave Tiffany the card I meant to give her when she was out with a concussion. Forgot that Doña not being here meant that there was no wifi for me to update my blog posts. Earlier today, people asked where Jacquynn was (she stayed home to study for the AP Bio test we had today). Everyone found out for the first time that we were siblings. Ebe drilled me with the most questions about it, then again, she sits right in front of me. I explained that we don’t  look alike because we’re all adopted. Yeah, I know this is all random, but I’m sitting in Doña’s room during lunch, so I’m just wandering and typing what comes to my mind. Another thing, I kinda hate Windows 7. I can’t figure out how to print a Publisher file without having to go to another program.

(2:36pm)
My sisters are way too boy and social oriented. Off the subject though, I walked up to Shautria while I was looking for my sisters just to say hi, and she said we were going to get married. She was joking. She came up with a bunch of wierd names for our kids. Or not wierd, but none that I would consider.

(2:44pm)
The cross country team just ran past me. Don't know where or how far they're running, but they're running fast.

(5:31pm)
Our class picture looks so good. My camera stinks, but we still look good.

Have to update all of my blogs by midnight tonight, or else I'll have a bad grade. I have an A in there. I'm surprised, last time I had a C. My whole interim is full of A's, B's, and one C in Tech-Ed (which I don't understand why).

(9:47pm)
Prosper and Thomas Brown, and I think Trey Barnes, called me a very sad person. They said the music I listen to is very, in my own words, dismal and depressing. I had The World's Greatest by R. Kelly playing on my computer, and they were starting to ask why I always seem depressed. They also remembered my English commercial I did and said it was also depressing. My other commercial, played to I'll Be There by Tiffany Evans, would also probably be considered depressing by their standards, probably. Am I really that depressing of a person? Do I need therapy? Those are rhetorical questions, don't answer them. PLEASE don't answer them. I don't think I'm depressing at all, I just can't listen to any Gucci, Boosie, or Waka-floca. I'll do Wayne, though I don't see why he went rock.

(10:14pm)
I forgot something. Something that really made me mad today. After our AP Bio test, we each got to draw a logo for powder puff, so I drew (or wrote rather) “2012, the end is nigh”, and Trey began to come at me for it. I was ticked, then he showed it to some other people, who all basically gave the “What the heck does that mean” look. I just snatched the paper and angrily erased the whole thing and wrote “near” instead of “nigh”. It sucks to have a clever mind and vocabulary sometimes. Words I learn in AVID seem to only be acceptable on paper.

(11:46pm)
So, Jacquynn forgot I still needed the computer, so she shut it down. We have one laptop that only my parents know the code to, so when it's shut down, it's shut down. Carney, just to let you know, even though I'm in Doña's room every day, I still can't post all of my blogs. Plus, Doña has to be at school so that I can access the hotspot. And you really have to give me some credit that I'm willing to look dumb carrying a non service Blackberry so that I can type me blogs. Seriously, I get crazy looks from people when they try to use it. I even fixed the camera, though it's quality sucks. I'm not saying cut me some slack, but give me SOME credit. Jacquynn's too lazy to even fix up her phone to text her posts, and I offered to set it up for her.

(11:05pm)
I finally got close enough to Amber to notice her eyes. It was unintentional. It was like 2 minutes before the bell rang and we were waiting to leave the AVID room. She has contacts. At first, her eyes scared me. They looked like a cross between reptilian and zebra strips. They look actually kinda cute on her. She's probably my favorite Atlas. Wait, nope. That'd be Shautria Witherspoon.

(11:28pm)
I finally got done with chapter 5 of my novel. It was molasses, and took me over 2 months, but it's done. I just don't know what to do for chapter 6. I guess that's the fun of writing a novel or journal, you just write whatever comes to your heart and cut out your mind. You'd be surprised what you come up with that way. Just make sure that you're not too extremely depressed, sad, or angry, or else it might not be so great. Try it.

September 29, 2011- Fried PBJ and a Michael Jackson experience

September 29, 2011
(8:47am)
Guess what this thing is:

It's my attempt to make a home-made fried peanut-butter and Jelly sandwich. It was delicious. All those flavors together was just weird that they actually complemented each other.

(11:01pm)
I'm happy I finally got the gold moves on Money on Michael Jackson: the Experience. Then I go to the Mii plaza and see that all of the miis I created but 2 are deleted. I'm gonna hurt Chrysta. In case you're saying Why her? You don't know if it was her. There are 5 others, I know it's her because only 2 people get on the wii: me and Chrysta. I didn't do it. Any more questions? Problem solved. By the way, I'm not directing anger at y'all, I'm just mad.

(11:12am)
Jaelen needs to stop drinking straight from the containers and get a glass.

(8:41pm)
One thing I can't stand is my parents constantly reminding me that I'm legally an adult. I can't stand it with a passion. I know I'm legally grown. You don't have to remind me. I still have my hippocampus intact (the hippocampus is a part in the brain that allows you to have memories, though I'm not sure that it's applicable in this situation).

(9:13pm)
Rhianna is sooo beautiful. Chris, you are a fool. Well, I can't really say that. I don't know what happened that night. Don't really care to find out. I want to meet her before any of us die, though. Maybe we could get married..........naw just kidding.

(11:25pm)
I'm beating myself up right now. I have mostly C's on my interim. Most of it comes from bad tests or, in Doña's, not ordering a book. It pains me to say it, but I'm dragging our house down right now. I need to raise them before report cards. I really hate to end this post on a negative note, but it's 11:30, I'm tired, and there's nothing positive on my mind, so good night y'all.

September 28, 2011- New friends, old pictures, and New knowledge

September 28, 2011
(8:47am)
I finally was formally introduced to Shautria's little sister, Shalante (I hope that's how you spell it). They look a little alike, but still have that same bubbly energy.

(11:35pm)
Stayed in Doña's room to update my blog posts (duh!!!). I've been commenting on posts, but every time I do, those dumb confirmation things popped up. I hate those things. Doña described what all the houses were: Themis and Prometheus were the level headed ones, Atlas was the all talk one, and Hyperion is just all over the place. We really are. I'm updated up to date. Today's the only day I need to post.

(11:43pm)
I love how no matter how dismal Arianna feels at the beginning of the day, she's always smiling by the end. Today in English, and she wasn't in a very good mood. Mr. Taylor always imitates Arianna on the morning announcements. It's kind of funny. She told him she wasn't in the mood. By the end of class, she was smiling and laughing. She was upset that her name wasn't in my 10,000 Baby Names book.

(1:30pm)
Sitting in AP Psychology. We're supposed to be watching a video, but Safari Montage isn't working. Mr. Plovan is looking on youtube for the video. Youtube is notorious for giving you everything but what you need.

(9:21pm)
I had robotics club today. Today was the first meeting. It was just me for a majority of the time. We only have 3 people so far: Erica Thompson, this other girl (10th grader) whose name I forgot, and me. From what I can see, none of us have any clue what we were doing. All we did was talk about what we would be doing. He gave me links to what we would be doing. We're building robots for competition. I wish I could explain further, but my head is still a little spinning. I can do it. Or let's pray I can.

(9:31pm)
I saw a picture of Arianna from last year. She looked so cute in her hat. I was about to sneeze, so mine looked horrible. I think Shavonda Epps took that picture. Shavonda, that's petty.

I had to stay extra time after my meeting because Jacquynn was studying for the SAT on Saturday with Prosper and Erica. Someone had House of Atlas written on one of the dry-erase boards, so I quietly erased it and wrote Hyperion.

Prosper and Jacquynn left, leaving me with Erica. She was working hard on something, I don't know what, but she was doing it while still being on the phone. She left about two minutes after everyone else left, leaving me alone. I just made a manga comic strip on creaza while I waited for Jacquynn to return. It's kind of......lame.

Oh, and I would post my english commercial (which Arianna and Mr. Taylor loved), but I can't 1) figure out how to download it, 2) paste the video location to zamzar, or 3) embed it to my blog. I'll figure something out.

(10:42pm)
I am soooo tired. I just want to sleep this day away. I got a bad grade on my AP Bio test. My whole grade in there is slipping. I'm almost failing AVID because I didn't order the book. To wrap it up, my brother made me take atleast 50 pictures of him posing like a thug. That alone wore me out. Criminal Minds did a show about serial killings in Oklahoma. I didn't see it. Wish I had, I want to know if they got us right. And not just turned us into some hicks like most people up here have. Don't know what to do tomorrow. Jacquynn's touring Howard. I'll probably fill out the Stevenson application I got so that I can copy it to the web.
